In recent centuries, rivers have been given less and less space. They are often wedged between high dikes, with a low hinterland with an inhabited environment. The river area needs to be protected from flooding, which is why a plan has been developed that gives more space to the rivers in more than 30 places.

One of the measures is the construction of a high water channel along the IJssel between Veessen and Wapenveld. Dutch Boosting Group has been involved in various project phases: within the contract team for the preparation and tendering of the Design & Construct contract, within the technical team as responsible for testing in the context of System-oriented Contract Management.
